Program Coordinator-in-Training (PCIT)

Page Summary

The 2008 PCIT Application now available.

The PCIT position is a training opportunity for Economics for Leaders alumni to become Program Coordinators. The training takes place during an actual program where the PCIT will interact with and learn from the Program Coordinators and the Leadership Coordinator. After completing this week of training, these individuals will be prepared to be Program Coordinators during the summer following training.

Alumni are eligible to work as PCITs after they have completed their sophomore year of college. Alumni who train as PCITs are expected to work as PCs the summer following training; therefore, PCITs are not eligible to apply for the Internships for Leaders program for the summer following training. Second-year PCs are eligible to apply to the internship program.

Approximately ten PCITs are selected each summer. Successful applicants will receive round-trip travel to the program site, meals, accommodations, a $250 stipend, and $75 off-site meal stipend.
