Issues of International Trade

Issues of International Trade holds a unique advantage, offering teachers a wealth of current events material to captivate student interest. While economic reasoning doesn’t provide all the s, it is serves as a powerful tool for critical thinking, bringing clarity to the discussion of current events. The ability to determine comparative advantage through opportunity cost, the ability to identify incentives and predict resulting behavior, and the ability to use supply and demand analysis of particular labor and resource markets, all equip students to set aside the emotional aspects of international trade issues and navigate through the media’s rhetoric. This workshop is designed to offer practical examples and classroom activities that enable students to construct a solid foundation for their own informed opinions on current news topics.
