Fatima Fareedi

Fatima Fareedi serves as the Coordinator of Operations and Teacher Programs for the Foundation for Teaching Economics. 

Before joining FTE, she worked as a Student Assistant with the California Department of Social Services in the Child Care & Development Division, supporting licensing compliance, data management, and statewide reporting efforts. Fatima also brings several years of experience in education as an Instructional Assistant and After-School Aide at NP3 Elementary, as well as outreach and community engagement experience from her internship with Community Resource Project, Inc. 

She earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology from Sacramento State University. 

Originally born in Karachi, Pakistan and raised in Sacramento, California, Fatima is passionate about educational equity, youth development, and community programs. Outside of work, she loves to cook, exploring her creativity in crafts, and spending time with friends, family, and two cats, Dumpling and Luna.
