The PTA Clean Energy program offers teachers the chance to hear directly from both academic and industry experts in renewable energy and economics. Another highlight of the program is a field trip to visit the National Renewable Energy Lab in Golden, Colorado.
Lodging, materials, and most meals are covered by FTE. Registrants are responsible for their own travel costs to and from the program site. All attendees are eligible for a $600 participation stipend and a $150 commuter stipend (if applicable).
Participants who attend the PTA Clean Energy program can expect to receive these benefits:

- Field trip to the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL)
- Engage in in-depth lectures taught by university professors and industry experts
- Valuable time to network and collaborate with other educators
