Brett Haglin

Brett Haglin became the Director of Online Programs and Curriculum for the Foundation for Teaching Economics in January of 2018. He has been an online economics instructor for FTE since 2007. Brett recently retired from teaching high school economics and A.P. economics in Gilbert, Arizona after 26 years in the classroom. He feels fortunate to have the opportunity to help middle and high school teachers discover the wonder of free market economics.

The path to teaching economics has been somewhat circuitous for Brett, as he originally earned degrees in saxophone performance from Arizona State University and Northwestern University. He has performed with numerous local Arizona musical acts and is still active performing today.

Today, Brett lives in Tempe, Arizona with his wife Susan, who is also a retired high school economics teacher.
