Markets in Action

One of the first and most important concepts taught in high school economics classes is the idea of markets. But what are they, and how do they work? In this program, FTE will model best practices for teaching about markets so you can confidently “get it right” in your classroom.

This professional development program is designed for newer economic educators who would like a more in-depth review of markets. In addition to content instruction, instructors will show participants how to use activities to increase student engagement with the material.

Concepts covered include:

  • Demand
  • Supply
  • Competition
  • Property Rights
  • Exchange
  • Marginal Analysis
  • Substitutes
  • Equilibrium Price/Market clearing price
  • Price ceilings & floors
  • Market Power

Markets in Action is a condensed One Day Virtual program and will run for approximately two hours.
