Lisa Chang

Lisa Chang is the Director of Operations and Teacher Programs for the Foundation for Teaching Economics.

She’s been with FTE since 2007, when she began working part-time with summer teacher programs and other events, as well as a few student programs.  Since then, her role has expanded to oversee all teacher programs, including residential, virtual, one day, and asynchronous online courses, as well as some student scholarships.

Lisa has worked as a writer, editor, marketing/creative services manager, and public service events planner for a diverse set of organizations, including book/academic journal publishers, research hospitals, and local television affiliates around the country.  She’s the recipient of two Emmy Awards for her work at the local ABC and CBS affiliates in Maine and Ohio.

Lisa is from West Point, New York and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications.  She and her husband have two wonderful, grown (ish) children (a son in his early 20s and a daughter in college) and are adjusting to spending time with each other again!   Lisa enjoys reading (specifically fantasy/sci-fi/dystopian novels, as well as historical fiction), camping, gardening, interior decorating, and spending time with her friends and family.
