John Kessler

John Kessler is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics and Finance and Director of the Center for Economic Education at Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW).  He teaches the Fundamentals of Economics, Principles of Microeconomics, and Personal Finance courses at PFW. As Director of the Center for Economic Education he presents workshops to K-12 teachers around the country to help them integrate economics into their classes and twice received the Peter V. Harrington Award for University Centers as the best economics education center in Indiana. Mr. Kessler is an adjunct scholar for the Indiana Policy Review where he writes and speaks primarily on the intersection of ethics, economics, and the role of government.

Mr. Kessler is an award-winning educator and a highly sought-after presenter having presented for various groups such as the Fraser Institute, the National Council on Economic Education, Edward Jones, Turning Point Academy, Young Americans for Liberty, Fort Wayne Business Weekly, Rotary International, Hillsdale Free Market Forum, Jumpstart Coalition, and the Association of Private Enterprise Educators.

Mr. Kessler has served as an economics education consultant for the Stavros Center at Florida State University, the National Academy Foundation, the Arizona Council for Economic Education, and the Foundation for Teaching Economics – where he is also a mentor teacher and professor in their Economics for Leaders program.
