Dr. Matthew Holley is an Associate Professor of Clinical Family Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine on the IU-Indianapolis campus. In addition he serves as the Vice Chair for Faculty & Staff Affairs and Professional Development (Department of Family Medicine) and as an Assistant Dean for Faculty Affairs & Professional Development. His academic research is in the areas of medical student education, faculty development, service learning and community engagement, and health equity.  

Originally from Illinois, Matt has an extensive background in leadership development through his previous work with nonprofit organizations such as United Way of Central Indiana, the North-American Interfraternity Conference, and Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity & Foundation.  

His work and commitment to teaching and service has earned him the IU School of Medicine Inspirational Educator Award, IUPUI Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Multicultural Teaching, the Indiana University Trustees Teaching Award, the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Outstanding Research Award, the Indianapolis Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 award, and the Indiana Governor’s Award for Tomorrow’s Leaders. Matt has worked with FTE since 1998.
