Recent Alumni Spotlight – Grace Romig

Grace attended Economics for Leaders in Providence, Rhode Island staying on the beautiful Ivy League campus of Brown University. Grace is a member of her school’s Future Business Leaders of American (FBLA) and was recommended to the Economics for Leaders program by her club’s adviser. After reaching out to an EFL alumnus at her school, Grace decided she wanted to apply.

As an alumnus herself now, Grace says she would definitely recommend the program to friends,  “It was a great example of the college experience and responsibilities (arriving to class on time, navigating campus, eating in the dining hall, etc.) … I found the economics lectures interesting and informative. I had never taken an economics course before, so this lecture was a great introduction to the class I will be taking at my high school next semester.”

Her favorite part of the program were the people she met.

“I am very glad that I met some of the people that I did, because we were able to laugh together and share different perspectives. My favorite memory from the week was meeting and getting to know many people from all over the world. I am very thankful that I got to make a number of close friends whom I still communicate with.”

Grace enjoys her language arts classes in school and is considering social psychology as a major when she goes off to college. We are so happy that we could help prepare Grace for her upcoming economics course and college life!
