Amanda Stiglbauer

Amanda Stiglbauer is the Economics & Business Course Developer and Facilitator for UC Scout, where she recently developed a new online AP Microeconomics course in addition to teaching AP Macroeconomics and AP Human Geography. An engaging and innovative educator, Amanda brings economics to life by demonstrating that economic principles permeate every aspect of daily life. Through interactive simulations and compelling real-world case studies, she empowers both students and fellow teachers to recognize and analyze the economic forces shaping their decisions and communities.

Amanda was named the Council on Economic Education’s John Morton Excellence in Teaching Economics Award Winner in 2019. She serves as an AP Microeconomics Question Leader, Mentor Teacher for the Foundation for Teaching Economics, and Master Teacher for the Council for Economic Education.

Amanda joined the FTE staff in 2019 and now leads instruction in Economics for Leaders, Economics for Teachers, Economic Forces in American History, and the Realities of Socialism. She currently serves as FTE’s Economic Education Curriculum Fellow and is developing “Economic Forces in American Civics” to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Amanda has authored lessons on EconEdLink and recently published the Teacher’s Guide for AP Microeconomics and AP Macroeconomics 5 Steps to a 5.

She lives in Lexington, South Carolina with her economics teacher husband, twin daughters, and doodle pups.
