Austin Green

Austin Green teaches AP Macroeconomics and AP Microeconomics in Atlanta, Georgia. Austin has taught Macroeconomics for 9 years and Microeconomics for 7 years, with over 120 students taking his courses each year. His students consistently score above state, national, and global averages. Austin is the 2023 Georgia Economics Teacher of the Year.

He also works as a mentor teacher for the Foundation for Teaching Economics, teaching the Economics for Leaders and the Realities of Socialism programs. Austin has been a reader for the AP Macroeconomics exam for 3 years and has taught workshops on engaging students in the AP Macro curriculum.

He is published in the Journal of Economics Teaching and has co-authored a working paper on the Economics of Taylor Swift.  Austin holds a master’s degree in Economic Education from the University of Delaware.  When he’s not looking for a new way to teach economics, you can find Austin in a CrossFit gym or spending time with friends.
