Understanding Global Economic Issues

Understanding Global Economic Issues is designed to provide insight to why people trade, if trading will hurt or benefit certain groups, and how some nations try to disrupt trade patterns.

Presented in a non-biased manner, this program dives into the challenges confronting nations worldwide.  Through Case studies and simulations adaptable to various courses and disciplines, we explore economics concepts that highlight the role of trade in raising standards of living and how policies can be developed to accomplish this goal.  Sessions will focus on current global trade patterns, trade alliances, impact of changes in exchange rates, and trade-offs that occur as trade patterns change over time. 

One Day Seminars qualify for one graduate hour credit in economics from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs for an additional fee. Please see the UCCS Optional Graduate Credit page for further information.
