Scott Wolla

Scott Wolla is the Economic Education Officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, where he leads initiatives to strengthen economic and financial literacy through innovative teaching resources, research, and outreach. His leadership has helped modernize the teaching of monetary policy nationwide, and his work has been featured in The New York Times, NPR, and The Economist. 

Scott’s research and writing have appeared in the Journal of Economic Education, The American Economist, and the Journal of Economics Teaching. He is the coauthor (with Avi J. Cohen) of the textbooks Microeconomics for Life and Macroeconomics for Life (Pearson) and serves on the American Economic Association’s Committee on Economic Education. In addition to his work at the Fed, Scott teaches economics as an adjunct instructor at Washington University in St. Louis.
