Demetrius Johnson

Demetrius Johnson (DJ) is the Assistant Director for Residential Education at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. With over 13 years of experience in higher education, DJ has dedicated his career to developing student leaders—particularly peer mentors and resident assistants—through intentional education, mentorship, and community-building. 

Originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, DJ earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri, in Music Business and Public Relations. In addition to his work in Residential Life, he serves as a Title IX hearing panelist, helping ensure fairness and integrity in the university’s processes. 

When he’s not working with students or colleagues, Demetrius enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Tori, and their son, Truett.
